Event Branding and Design: How I Helped Pandamonium Events and Ratchet Stand Out

Starting an events company can be a daunting feat. It’s not just about curating unforgettable experiences that resonate with your audience and ensuring they show up — your visual identity plays a crucial role in showcasing what you do and building a recognisable brand.

From your event logo design and event posters to event photography (of your musicians, performers or guests) , videography, and social media graphics, the way you present yourself visually can heavily influence whether someone buys that ticket or scrolls past.

When my good friend Panda (AKA 'Lady Pandamonium') launched Pandamonium Events, I wanted to make sure her event branding truly reflected the high-energy, unforgettable parties she throws.

We began with her logo design — and, of course, it had to feature a panda. Panda envisioned a bold, badass bear with a megaphone, shouting out the company name. To capture her personality, we added some fierce eyelashes (because obviously, she’s a femme panda!) and crafted a striking colour palette featuring hot pink — her signature shade — along with two contrasting fonts to add extra dimension.

…And the result was this!

Out of Pandamonium Events came the club night 'Ratchet' — which I’ve also had the pleasure of DJing at! Here’s a taste of what it’s all about:

“Ratchet, the brainchild of Lady Pandamonium, is a phenomenon taking over venues near you with its defiant tagline, ‘The world is burning, but they won't stop us dancing.’ This electric event takes you into a vibrant world of dynamic visuals, creating an immersive atmosphere that invites everyone to drop the mask and shake that ass. The lineup features a captivating mix of headlining heavyweights and rising stars, ensuring a night you’ll never forget. With a bassline that you can feel in your chest, the music at Ratchet promises to get your heart racing and your feet moving.”

While Panda already had a logo for Ratchet, she needed bold, fiery artwork for upcoming events — and flames became a running theme across all of Ratchet’s event marketing materials. Since the first poster I made for her, we’ve now got a solid selection of fonts, imagery and colours to use, to keep a good level of consistency across the board.

Here are examples of the event posters I’ve created for their Boomtown Femmegeddon Takeover, the Ratchet London Edition, and their International Women’s Day Fundraiser:

To keep the buzz alive on social media, I also designed custom templates for DJ announcements, giving Panda a flexible way to spotlight performers and build excitement.

Of course, a great event poster design is just one part of the puzzle. Capturing high-quality event photography and event videography during the event itself is just as important. This content not only helps performers and DJs share the night with their own audiences but also keeps partygoers engaged long after the lights go down — especially if they spot themselves in the shots!

Lastly is a selection of event photos I took at Ratchet’s London Edition, their takeover at Boomtown’s Femmegeddon stage, their collaborative New Year's Eve party with fellow Brighton-based event producers Embrace, Roll the Dice, and Soul Party, as well as their International Women’s Day Fundraiser Event. I also shot event video clips for Panda to use in Instagram Reels.
